DURING THE FOOTBALL SEASON
On Saturday’s and Sunday’s
The Northumberland Football Leagues presides over 600 fixtures across the area.
That amounts to:
playing football at the grassroots level every weekend.
qualified coaches working to produce footballing excellence.
The league is also a pathway to the professional game, with a number of famous names developing their talents in the Northumberland Football Leagues, including England International’s Peter Beardsley, Chris Waddle, and Alan Shearer.
More recently the league has produced the likes of
Shola and Sammy Ameobi, Adam Armstrong, Jamie Sterry, and Sean Matty Longstaff – who all ply their trade in professional football.
